WHEN THE SUN FINALLY FAILS TO RISE, AND THOSE THAT YET REMAINED HAVE PERISHED IN PERPETUAL NIGHT, AND FEAR IS STRICKEN FROM THE LAND, AND SUFFERING HAS FADED IN THE ABSENCE OF IDLE HANDS, IT WILL BECOME CLEAR THAT ONLY BEYOND THE CHAOS CAN A GENUINE PEACE BE ACHIEVED. THE PERFECT END TO AN AWFUL STORY: THE WORLD GOES DOWN IN FLAME AND GLORY. HE SAID, “I HOPE I’LL BE AROUND TO SEE IT WHEN IT ENDS”. WE WON’T FADE OUT OR BURN AWAY. WE WON’T BE PRESERVED, WE’LL JUST BE ERASED AND DRIFT FROM THE STAGE AS THE FINAL ACT CLOSES AND THE CURTAINS FALL DOWN. IF SEVEN BILLION PEOPLE DIE, THEN NO ONE WILL REMAIN TO KISS YOUR SORRY ASS GOODBYE. AND ONCE YOUR EMPTY HEART CAN KNOW NO DESPAIR, YOU’LL MISS NO ONE AND NO ON WILL CARE, AND THE FACE OF THE EARTH WILL BE SCRAPED CLEAN OF ITS FILTH, AND THERE’LL BE NO MORE SUFFERING ANYWHERE. WE WERE DEALT MANY CARDS BUT NOW WE’VE NONE, AND THE JOKERS DEPICTED ON EVERY ONE ARE MOCKING THE MISERY THAT WE’VE BECOME AND THE HATEFUL LITTLE BASTARDS WE CONTINUE TO SPAWN. I think I wrote this song in 2006. I recorded it but never finished it. Then a few years later I wrote the first half of it and changed the rest of it a little bit, but again, never finished it. Then a few more years later I recorded it again and finally finished it. This was originally going to be a two track EP, but the second track fell behind when I was doing this one and some other stuff. I'll hopefully get around to finishing it at some point.
